Pros

Overall, I love working at Virtual Identity and my team is fantastic. I love the ability to work remotely and this is a huge plus over other companies. I think it speaks for itself that the company has been around for so long, even through the pandemic.

Cons

The C-level is... quite stuck in the past. For most things, this isn't an issue and they're even quite progressive in a lot of ways, but things like inclusion aren't even on the radar, despite being brought up by other leadership members. They have a lot of good things going for them, so I think they don't consider this a priority, but our company is very diverse and this should be recognized instead of just brushed under the rug. There isn't a lot of education or knowledge on these topics and it starts from the top. Additionally, I find there isn't a lot of unity outside of work topics.

Pros

The remote equipment provided is adequate. Projects can be exciting but naturally it depends on your likes and dislikes.

Cons

Management style truly needs some work. You can ask for support however many times as you want, chances are you still won't get it. If you are remote, unfortunately that will be an issue (but only after 6 months). Unfortunately, I had an incredibly negative experience in a meeting (to resolve conflict, that wasn't there to begin with) in which the topics were handled with little to no professionalism. Once I spoke to my direct manager about it, they attributed it to a cultural difference and that I shouldn't take it to heart, when in reality I wasn't even allowed to speak up for myself and blatant miss information was used as fact. Overall, I would say not worth the stress.
