Pros
Asides from the few good people that make working here somewhat bearable, very little pros come to mind. Good wellness benefits (gym access) and a few funded socials.
Cons
Management in the BDR team is toxic and dishonest, which creates an extremely hostile environment. Promotions are promised to top performers and then never followed through. People in my team have been waiting for months after it being mentioned to them originally. On top of that, unrealistic performance plans are used as a way to push people out. You get one month to 'improve' and if you don’t hit it, you’re essentially asked to leave. The targets themselves are unrealistic and despite this being flagged to management on a frequent basis, nothing ever changes. The reality is that around 90% of the team misses quota every month. There’s also a huge issue with favouritism. It’s painfully obvious and usually based on personality, not performance. Pay is shocking for the work expected. The sales approach is completely outdated and archaic. You’re expected to make at least 50 cold calls a day, even though this isn't an official KPI. If you’re not seen to be hitting them, even a few hours before EOD, it is not uncommon for management to publicly call you out in the sales chat using terminology such as 'pathetic'. Progression is virtually non-existent and the complete opposite of what’s promised during the interview process. It’s no surprise so many people end up leaving quickly. Overall, the team feels deflated. Everyone talks about wanting to get out, and overall, it is just not an enjoyable or rewarding place to work, especially in this team.
