Pros

- Flexible/agile work hours depending on your team - Company has a great social mission, unfortunately it doesn't translate to the - Working on huge well known brands - A lot is asked from you which gives you an opportunity to learn a lot in a short amount of time

Cons

The company is going downhill fast, I wouldn't return unless they do some serious overhauling on their business strategy. Short sighted cost savings initiatives are killing the culture and will continue to drive employees to leave. With all the opportunities in the NYC area, you would be a fool to stay with the sinking ship. - Terrible retention; probably due to everyone having to double hat with no promotions or increase in salary - Not much room for advancement. Management expects you to stick around in the same role with negligable raises for years, even if you are doing a good job - Pay is not great for NYC area. Company will short change and in some cases stiff you on your already small bonus - They make employees that live in NYC pay to ride the shuttle to work

Hi. Thank you very much for taking the time to leave a review of your time with us at Unilever. We appreciate all feedback - both positive and constructive. Firstly, we hope you had the opportunity to speak directly with your line manager or HR Business Partner regarding the issues you've outlined while you were with us. We do take all feedback extremely seriously, and strive to ensure suggestions are implemented where possible. It is good to see that you highlight a number of positives of your time with us, including our flexible working initiatives, our social mission, brands and the opportunity to learn. We have a number of diverse roles currently available in NYC, and we ensure that the renumeration regarding these roles is competitive - with the addition of great benefits, agile working and training opportunities we feel they offer a well-rounded package. We'll pass your feedback on around advancement and culture to the respective teams. We hope your current role is proving successful and wish you all the best.

Pros

Working with brands you grew up with is really exciting! The people I have met have all been amazing as well!

Cons

Everyone I have talked to are overworked and feel underpaid and despite the amount of work they do, there is no recognition or appreciation. Upper management is a mess and UL is constantly restructuring, often going from new BACK to the old structure while simultaneously letting people go leaving more people overworked. While most people are amazing, there are a few micromanagers where expectations are unknown. In addition, the lack of communication is awful. Often, I hear about certain cuts through the vine rather than directly from the people involved
