Pros
- Part-time work options. - Delta flight benefits (though still pay taxes on each flight, even domestically). - Many wonderful and hard-working co-workers
Cons
- Poor communication from management to employees. - Poor training of managers, supervisors & employees. - Supervisors and a manager who demean employees when concerns are brought to their attention. - The applicability of company policy depends upon whether or not an employees is favored by a supervisor/manager. - Neither team leads nor supervisors are trained in healthy communication, conflict resolution, and are not on the same page about Unifi or Delta's cabin service goals and standards. - New management has not developed positive relationships with supervisors in order to create "buy in" for their new agenda, which has led to even more variation between supervisors actions and loose implementation of policy. - Most employees seem fearful of getting reprimanded by whomever their superior is, and their fear causes poor behavior and has contributed to a very negative work culture. - Many employees to not feel comfortable reporting on-the-job injuries. - When management feels frustrated, they punish by taking away privileges (i.e. shift swapping, etc.) instead of clearly communicating expectations and holding accountable only the employees who struggles to follow policy. The toxic work culture, miscommunication, and lack of respectful actions and words are all matters that can be corrected with well-trained and well-intentioned station leadership. Some of the supervisors and team leads seem capable of learning healthy ways to lead and supervise employees.
