Pros
- Learning about new beauty products before they come out. - 50% off on salon services, and 25% off on merchandise. - Negotiable salary/hourly pay. - Chances to move up, or to work in different positions you may be interested in.
Cons
- Lack of direction when being trained. - Most coworkers I came across seemed unfriendly, and barely smiled even when around customers. - No benefits offered for part time employees. - You have to bring clear bags to keep your stuff in, get green dots on the bottoms of things you bring in from home, and a manager has to inspect your beg before you can leave work to make sure you didn't steal anything. Not only is it a hassle to have to wait around for an available manager, but it also makes you feel like a criminal. - Lack of hours, unless willing to work positions other than what you're hired for. - There are no employee discount cards. You have to use your paycheck stub to get a discount. Management also has to do the discount, which means you have to wait for them to come over to do it making people behind you wait longer in line.
