      You're working at a nonprofit, biomedical, research institute between all of the top academic institutions and hospitals in the greater Boston area. Pay is more competitive than standard nonprofits and academia and benefits are quite good.

      Could make 3x more at a pharma or biotech, leadership changes cause turbulence often, long working hours

      Poor leadership. When I first joined they had some solid leaders, but over the years they promoted and hired people with a "closed door" leadership style.
