Pros

The Company stills holds some good name and good leaders (not all ofcourse)... you will get to work with some brilliant minds... could be very good learning experience, if you can see thru the politics

Cons

many lower-middle employees leaving the company... and hence few "uncooked"/"partial performers" team members gets chances to lead a team... i have personally worked under two such people... most of my frenz too... anyway you get a chance to report them... but trust me... if you do... you are most likely digging the grave for you... AND too many processes to adhere... which tends to affect your productivity.... AND Money Concious Organisation... example... they wont (easily) provide you a cab even after midnight... i'm talking abt regular 9to5 workers... you need to pre plan it i.e. you gotto foresee that you need to work until midnight by 6 o'clock in the evening... funny ppl

Pros

Large client base. Talented people, have "cracked the code" on offshoring development and support.

Cons

For anyone used to working in US-based firms, the culture and politics will be difficult to understand and navigate. Internal policies and systems focus on the offshore delivery center model. Roles in the US do not fit into that mold, and obtaining approvals for simple expenses can require weeks and insanely high approval chains given the size of TCS. I needed approval from a global division head (a CEO direct-report) just to pay for a short training course. Missions of different departments are not clearly defined, so overlap and conflict are common.
