Pros
I started my Analytics career with a start-up and TEG is my second company. One big advantage joining a start-up/small firm is the amount of learning one gets. I have seen freshers spending so much on training to get a job. TEG has a rigorous training programme in Analytics focusing on statistics, leadership skills, problem solving, client management and people management. Company brings in professional trainers and inhouse case studies to get their employees trained. The HR team here owns and plans for all employees. All the training that happens is well planned based on team/project requirement basis. My personal experience with all the trainings I have undergone spans from technical skills to leadership training, which has groomed me as a manager and helped me think aloud about the team. I have seen my shift from an individual contributor to managing a team without any hassle at TEG. TEG has helped me build confidence by providing opportunities to work from various client locations. In just 3 years with the company, the growth and learning I have seen personally is something remarkable.
Cons
Work life balance needs to be redrawn to meet the demands of delivery and training. For me, personally it has helped me expand my horizons.
