Hard working co-workers, generous benefits package (except 401k and per diem), the ability to book your own business travel, leaders with great intentions but faulty execution.
Cons
401k, the time off policy, per diem rates, India outsourcing. Timelines are agreed to that aren't attainable. This forces employees to work more hours than anyone should work. The time difference between India and United states is the worst possible. With about 12 hours difference with Pacific Time there is simply no reasonable time to meet with the India team. When their work day ends, ours hasn't begun and vice versa. This forces already overworked teams to work verynlatebhours or very early hours without working any less regular hours so they just turn into more reasons to work way too many hours. With faster delivery times and more agile development cycles, communication is the key to success. Your team can’t succeed if it takes over 24 hours to receive an answer to any question, which usually only generates more questions. We are being set up for failure. It is not understood why an agreement wasn't made for the outsourced team to work US hours.
