Pros

Very Successful company to work for, We are also the top Ground handlers for 7 years running. We also service several airlines from UK, Iceland, ETC. Management is also very understanding of a persons personal life and have no problem working with anyone that is having any sort of issue, being that the person has spoke with someone from management about the situation beforehand. they also offer a real chance to advance in the company if you so desire it. With perserverance, determination, and drive, ANYONE can move up in the ranks and achieve any goals they might have in their lives.

Cons

Your schedule might shift time to time due to the flight activity. Late flights are usually a bummer due to the fact if you had any prior plans for the night and your aircraft is running late or anything else that arises with working with airlines, it could become a real downside. Also you must deal with Airline representatives who in some cases (not all) do not really care about your opinion on certain matters, but also have a very stubborn demeanor about them. Sometimes while working with swissport you will encounter these folks and really have to humble yourself for the best of the company.

Pros

Learned a lot as an aircraft fueler, my manager at the time recognized my hard work and offered me a lead position. there was plenty of overtime and opportunities to explore different aspects of aircraft fueling. If I could I would definitely return to the company and get into management.

Cons

some employees I worked with made most of my shifts harder than they had to be. the job itself was easy and enjoyable for the time being even with call offs and no shows.

Pros

There is a sense of family culture at the airside level, and that was one of the few genuinely positive parts of the experience.

Cons

Unfortunately, the overall environment was overshadowed by micromanagement and a culture where communication often felt dishonest. There were situations where it seemed like management claimed conversations or warnings had happened when they had not, only to move quickly to write employees up. The lack of consistency and trust made the workplace frustrating and difficult to navigate. There also seemed to be high turnover, along with very little clear direction or path for growth. On top of that, some business practices came across as focused on avoiding providing proper benefits, which left a negative impression.
