Pros

They have a lot of work availability

Cons

They don't pay much more than local minimum, the bosses are bullies at best, they don't hire the smartest of managers who don't know basic definitions of the language they should be using for their job. Little to no respect of the people that earn them money. They provide no benefit or opportunities for advancement. Their training does not count as certification. Nor do they offer certifications. Managers would bully associates into longer drives. Disrespect work hours and overtime management. They hire untrained, no skill people willingly to put in skilled care positions.

Pros

Get to meet wonderful people. Get to see into peoples lives, and treasure getting to know them. Ask questions, get to hear about how they got to where they are, what their philosophies are, their life stories, their advice. The opportunity for connection is limitless.

Cons

Dementia! I learned to love working with dementia patients but be warned if it's your first job with them. Don't take what they say personally. I wish someone had told me that before my first position. It's not about you. It's about them. Second! Beeoches. There are so many old ladies you're going to run into who are BEEOCHES. Don't be afraid to tell the bossman that I'm sorry, this isn't a good fit. I was too afraid to say something and ended up staying with a little old lady who was H-E-DOUBLE HOCKEY STICKS to work with for two years. Former CEO of a company. Beeoch! Stand up for yourself. If you don't know how, this job will teach you. You'll learn a lot about yourself if you don't know yourself very well!
