Pros
Great for beginners in Data Security. No educational requirements at all. 24/7/365 operation dictates schedules for all SOC analysts.
Cons
Lowest pay in the industry. Training is the 13th Century Model...Apprenticeship. Leadership has axed all technical job-related training initiatives in favor of apprenticeships. Layoffs for the training department are imminent. Those who don't measure up immediately are placed on a PIP (Performance Improvement Plan) which is a 30-day ticket to unemployment.
