Pros
The best parts of Schlumberger are the money, the travel, the training, and the people you meet. Be sure you know what you're getting into before you decide on Schlumberger. And research the segments fully. There can be big differences between them with regards to lifestyle and pay.
Cons
It really depends on where you are based. In some locations, the money is good, and there's rotation or field breaks. In others that are deemed to be not remote enough, you can get less than average pay and have no time off at all. But on the whole, the downsides are: Life outside of work (non-existent), Limited availability of experienced employees, Absence of choice in the matter of your life.
