Pros

SAP has a very good work-life balance ratio. Managers are well trained to manage their subordinates. There is very good flexible work policy and lot of exposure high quality design, architecture and Product Management

Cons

I worked in SAP for 20 years. However in the recent years, there is a huge degradation in the quality - It has become more of a talk than actual work. Lot of marketing has got in. More employees of SAP have started taking the management route, so product expertise has started dwindling. Especially in the last 2 years, lot of experienced and knowledgable people left SAP (either voluntarily or early retirement). Lot of this knowledge is lost and not properly handed over. Younger people are not properly groomed. SAP Technologies are not used much, so once you get in, you cant get out. It is very sad to see the company degradation for me. This was not the SAP I joined.

Pros

I really liked my role at SAP. After being a cloud Customer Success Manager supporting strategic clients for several years, I moved into a group doing digital customer outreach including producing newsletters, release enablement, webcasts, documentation, event registrations, etc. Salary and bonuses were good, no complaints there.

Cons

No real cons for the job that I was in, except that our group was eliminated by the corporate restructuring and reduction in workforce in North America in 2025. I would have loved to stay but unfortunately we probably showed up on a restructuring spreadsheet somewhere and it was determined that our services were no longer needed. We off-boarded most of our work to other existing employees (who already had full time jobs), which felt unfair to them, but that is how it shook out.
