Pros
Products are used world wide, some (older) products have been cited as industry standard on reliability.
Cons
Huge gap between retirement age employees who have given up on keeping up with the times and are hanging on purely for their pensions and young (20's) employees trying to keep the company relevant in the modern economy. Rockwell thinks it's glut of "mature" talent is a strength, it is not, it is holding the entire company back. While Rockwell may have been a leader in the 1980's, today it is so far behind that instead of trying to innovate it spends its time copying features that Seimens released 10 years ago. There is also a horrifying willingness to pander to customers and to literally design their controllers and software around customer demands. There is no chance of innovating, all the work is simply catch up and pandering.
