Pros
Great PTO(if your dept lets you use it) and health benefits Face time with higher level operations people
Cons
The progressive initiatives seem to be for show as shown by finance leadership. All outside manager and above hires have been all men, mostly white men. The diversity trophies they hide behind were acquired or promoted out of spite (based on actual statements made by leading individuals) due to lower team complaints. Which completely devalues the females in the dept of their well deserved accomplishments. In a place that promotes collaboration outwardly, the current culture of the finance dept is expected to ask no questions and do as they’re told (talk about a red flag in the world of finance) The moment power was given the current leadership a year ago, it was made sure to squash and push out anyone and everyone who was willing to speak up about the toxic environment, especially towards females. 20+ people with all different years of experience and titles have quit in less than a year AND made 20-30% more money to do less work. RV finance has done nothing but slide downhill faster and faster since their last non cfo leader left. The good ole boys club is continuing to grow at the top and since no one is allowed to question it I don’t see it stopping anytime soon. If I’m not mistaken there are 2 women in leadership roles left the rest ran or were pawns of the current LinkedIn hot topic of “quiet quitting” where companies quietly devalue and force people to quit to prevent legal repercussions. Pick a different place to work, you’ll get more money to work a normal persons job and have real opportunities to grow internally. At RV you’ll do the job of 3 ppl, be told you’re the reason it’s awful, get paid less to do it and realize that they won’t ever promote you internally past manager unless there’s a diversity box to check or the entire department complains loud enough for long enough. HR is ineffective and won’t do anything to help you. Expect retaliation if you try to stand up and don’t think you’ll ever actually have work life balance.
