Pros
- People: I think the most positive thing this company has is the people. They are really nice, especially the most veteran ones, and usually is a pleasure to work with them. At least till now. They are honest, they have a good heart and they are truly committed to the task of helping companies to do their best in relation to sustainability. - Flexibility: You have in general a lot of flexibility in relation to how you organize yourself and your work. Of course, you need to arrange meetings with others and reach deadlines, but you have a lot of flexibility. Also, you can work from home or go to the office without any kind of planning. - Flat hierarchy: Almost everyone is on equal terms and you can - Working topics: The potential topics you can work on are interesting and the work is fulfilling. You even sometimes perform groundbreaking work and things that are new. You usually work with leading industry actors, and on topics that help to curb the climate crisis.
Cons
- Management: There is a lack of organization and management. At the company level and sometimes and the project level. But the most problematic one is at the company level. You don't have a clear idea of to whom you have to report and in general I would say that there is a lack of leaders, even in senior positions. - Strategy: They don't know where they are going. They don't have a vision of where the company should be in 10 years, 5 years or even 1 year in some cases. There is a lack of real direction, vision and strategy. The company is going through a lot of turmoil and stormy waters lately that make things even worse. - Investment: They don't have the capacity to invest in creating new services and products, sometimes for the lack of funds, and sometimes for the lack of vision and understanding of how research, development and innovation work. - Comfort zone: The core business of the company is LCA / footprinting, at which they are incredibly good and experienced. However, when they try to go out of that they have a lot of trouble understanding how it works, that things take time and what is the next step. - Peer pressure and sustainability cult: There is a lot of peer pressure to have sustainable behavior and "walk the talk" and so. Sometimes is really subtle, but it's also unhealthy at some points. Perhaps because people are very committed to sustainability. It is also difficult to speak up against the current sustainability dogma due to the cult of sustainability. - Time management: Due to the lack of organization and time management is sometimes really complex and ends up affecting your life, which is very common in consultancy. It's not as bad as on other consultancy companies where hours are crazy. Anyhow there is a lot of room for improvement.
