people are awesome and they have a nice hybrid workplace but depends highly on your team and solution. Seems pretty political as any company is but they definitely treat their employees well.
Cons
low pay, takes long to move up, very political, they are too excited about the culture it almost seems fake

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re glad to hear you appreciate the great people and the flexibility of our hybrid work model. We also note your comments on compensation, career progression, and workplace dynamics, and remain committed to strengthening transparency, growth opportunities, and a culture that feels genuine and supportive for everyone.
Great work life balance (depending on client, however I always had a good experience). Good company match, typical time off.
Cons
Could get stuck on a busy client for extended period.

Thanks for sharing your experience—we’re glad to hear you’ve had a positive experience with work-life balance here and our people-first culture.
We also appreciate your feedback on project duration and mobility. Our work is driven by client needs, which can sometimes mean longer engagements, but we remain committed to growth and development, expanding opportunities for employees to dive into interests and explore innovative paths through their work.
Thank you again for your perspective. It's incredibly valuable as we continue to evolve.
1) Chicago office has a good culture, overall. It’s not perfect but most of the people are great.
2) Work-life balance score has been solid (about 5+ years of insights here)
3) Although it was not great this year, Incentive compensation has overall been pretty good over the course of 5+ years. Much better than big 4 in my experience.
Cons
1) Since 2023, the culture hasn’t been great for a variety of reasons (mainly due to sluggish performance and growing too fast)
2) It feels more like a temporary staffing agency versus a consulting firm for a lot of the time.
3) There has been an awkward push for a return to the office and more business development focus that is in stark contrast to what most Protiviti people value.
4) Most people I talk to say they are not motivated by most of the MDs they interact with (this is significant in my opinion).
