Pros

Brand Management training. Practical and classroom training. The organization provides great frameworks for becoming a strong marketer

Cons

Takes time for decisions to be made and there's too much bureacracy. The company probably hires too many ABMs and then makes it difficult to be promoted to Brand Manager. You can feel like you're being brainwashed at times and you have to be careful to not loose yourself. In fact, the Promote from Within mantra the company is so proud tends to produce disciples instead of true creative thinkers. There doesn't seem to be a great appreciation for outside thinking. Everyone talks the sames and tells the same jokes. It can be scary. Some of the marketing principals can be overly complicated solely for the sake of being different. Processes get in the way of driving results.

Pros

Many intelligent people who are experts in their fields who are willing to help and provide advice (if they have time). Decent benefits and pay.

Cons

I mentioned time because many people are stretched and overworked. Work life balance is pretty bad and shows no signs of improvement. A lot of this can be attributed to near useless management. Every project is treated as absolute maximum priority but can still be dropped at a moment's notice. Work processes are horribly cumbersome and slow. Even small changes require many approvals but there are endless demands to "move faster".
