Pros

Powertek is run by great people who are well respected, fair, engaged, and creative leaders. They provide a great work environment - a diverse culture, fun and meaningful work, and spirit of camaraderie within and across projects and organizations. Powertek leaders empower, trust, encourage, and reward their employees for going above and beyond. They promote from within and provide generous benefits and perks such as company-paid training, certifications, college degrees, and bonuses. They provide teleworking options and find creative ways for employees to balance their work and personal lives. Powertek provides space for employees to be creative and offer suggestions for continual improvement - leadership listens and walks the talk.

Cons

Sometimes the projects aren't aware of other company successes across the organization.

Pros

Fellow coworkers on the contract were friendly and reasonable people. Insurance options for vision and dental were appreciated.

Cons

Powertek failed to send my resignation email to HR with a months advance notice. I informed them of my intent to take my last week of PTO in the email, which they acknowledged. Thursday, the week before my last week, they informed me that HR has given a mandate that I cannot take the last week, and they moved my end date to Friday the next day. They refused to allow me to donate my excess PTO which was set to be used for the next week, and refused to give me a copy of the employee handbook on request, since they ended access to the company intranet. They will adhere to their legal obligations, but will otherwise try to avoid working with you when they stand to benefit. Such as to avoid paying out over 40 hours of PTO.
