Pros

5 and 6 figure bonuses, lots of autonomy, casual work environment, play football in the middle of the day when all my mates are working, other traders and trainees are sound, detailed training program, 70 and 80% profit shares

Cons

Long hours, work life balance is definitely tilted towards work the first few years, the success rate of a trainee becoming a trader is between 40-60%

Thanks for the feedback. We will continue with all the awesome stuff we do away from the trading screens! The amazing aspect of the financial markets these days is that anyone can trade, from anywhere in the world, with an internet connection. The flip side of this is that the markets are extremely competitive. Some derivation of the ’10,000 hours’ rule definitely applies – the more hours you put in, the more your odds of success increase. Please check out our Q&A here: http://bit.ly/2qAcKzD for details on Trainee Trader success rates.

Pros

There is no limit how much you can earn - Top traders earn as much as a professional Premier League player Very nice people to work with. Everyone is motivated and willing to help Great team events like trips to Ibiza or club nights with private tables and bottle service You learn a lot about yourself and how you function under stress I am working at Positive for seven years now. At the beginning the job is very though. Long working hours are needed and the learning curve is very steep. But once you make it as a live trader there is no better job out there. If you work hard and have an appetite for risk the potential earnings are unlimited. And after seven years I am still looking forward to go to the office and hit the markets every morning.

Cons

Long working hours but these hours pay off
