Pros
Altogether nice colleagues. Good work-life balance.
Cons
The culture: the much hyped "we are one big loving family" is akin to a cult and merely skin deep, and they do not really care about you. Take for instance this year's COVID layoffs" - management and the VCs needed a way to offload a bunch of people off the company's books to have a high EPS so investors could buy shares. As a result, a big percentage of employees were fired with no fault of their own and without a warning during the worst time in years to be looking for a job. The open jobs currently posted aren't new positions, the company is merely replacing employees fired only a couple of months ago. The strategy and the management: everything Ping does is US-centric and the company does not have a clue how to do business in other regions. Okta and Microsoft are well ahead, particularly in Europe. A new VP has been hired to turn the results around and the stock price keeps falling. Fact is: this organization has always struggled. Management is failing to execute on a plan to take the company to the next level. But for years they have been selling the story that they are growing and now is the right time to join.
