Pros

If you are into retro, they have a logo that hearkens back to 1999! Great at selling you the role (hint, don't take it). A handful of actually great individuals most of which are hamstrung and seem to have simply given up, and are in survival mode. Great delivery team in some areas, starting to struggle/lacking in others.

Cons

Uneven attention and investment in their markets outside of STL. Acquired by P&E firm, which led to the usual additional oversight and lack of strategic communication. An incredibly short-sighted and poorly reasoned comp plan in 2024 and the loss of something like 100+ sales staff in 2024. Sales leadership is a cadre/old guard who enjoy self-back-patting, regaling the team with weekly anecdotes and generally missing the strategic mark whilst consuming the oxygen in the room. I've never had sales leadership who loved to hear themselves talk more than at Perficient. If you aren't a hyper golfer sportsfan who is a country club member, you will probably not fit in.

Pros

Very little outside of some of the people you work with. FTO is only nice if you have a manager who lets you use it. They did allow work from home, not sure if that is still the case.

Cons

This company was run poorly by Tom Hogan before private equity bought it but the buyout accelerated their decline. If you want to be a cog in the machine, this is the place for you. The leadership is only focused on themselves. They will praise you or throw you under the bus depending on how they feel it makes them look to their bosses. The employees who don’t have a stable long term project live in fear of being let go irregardless of talent and many of their most talented are leaving because they see the writing on the wall.
