Great foundation, experience and company culture, but remuneration is not competitive - Associate Partners Capital Employee Review

Pros

- Company is growing rapidly, - Exposure to multiple asset classes - Intelligent peers and managers - Steep learning curve - Exposure to fund managers at an early stage - Management consulting backbone to the business (many Mckinsey and Bain alumnus) - Fantastic company culture (has adopted the Bain culture) - Teams are well integrated and an open door policy is in place.

Cons

- Often not willing to retain talent, hence at all levels there is a revolving door of people coming in and out. - Remuneration could be improved and bonuses are capped. - Work trickles downwards in a lumpy fashion, which often results in stressful situations. - No separation of teams between "client service work" and "investment work". Resultantly the "investment team" end up doing two jobs.

Pros

It's interesting work if you are someone who is passionate about finance and investing - affording many great opportunities to interact with thought leaders in the space and assess differentiated investment ideas, There is a lot of white space to build your own path and be entrepreneurial within an innovative, fast-growing organization. The culture is excellent. I enjoy everyone I work with and there is a shared alignment around our values and mission.

Cons

We work very hard, so hours can be long (though typically not unpredictably so). Global nature of the business is a clear differentiator relative to other OCIOs but comes with certain amounts of friction. Some continued growing pains given the rapid scaling of the business, but overall doing a good job addressing these issues.

Pros

Overall good pay, good teambonding events

Cons

Depends on your manager, some managers will not spend anytime mentoring juniors, will not provide any feedback (even if you reach out); culture can be very toxic in terms of people you work with (who speak negatively of you behind your back and report false info about you to the upper management team for promotion); extremely high turnover of people in the firm (even some people leave after 3 months), which can also show that the firm doesn't care about developing internal talents
