Pros
As a manager, you are in control of where and when you work. There is freedom in how you run your shop, and how you take charge of your team to reach your goals.
Cons
There is no relationship between Head Office and Retail, so decisions are made by people who haven’t worked in the stores and don’t understand how the day to day running of the business works. There is no recognition for the good workers, and no clear progression path beyond the shop into a senior role.
