Client-serving at the expense of other priorities - Associate Staff Engineer Nagarro Employee Review

Pros

Earlier, it was work-from-anywhere (WFA), but gradually employees are being asked to return to the office in Gurugram or adopt a hybrid model, with some even required to work at client locations. Additionally, many Hive offices have been shut down.

Cons

Project allocation is handled by TAP, which is not based on skill sets. As a result, there is no learning curve for employees. Typically, no activities are carried out at the account level for employee wellness and perks, and no Scrum activities are followed. Managers are primarily there to give commands rather than address or listen to any issues. Additionally, the project duration is very short for many projects, and employees are expected to align to work without any story finalization or clear requirements. Furthermore, they may restructure salaries at any point based on their convenience. Hikes are very minimal, and increments are often delayed.

Pros

Very flexible and good for work/life balance. Insurance is fully paid for by the company and doesn’t come out of your check which is a pro.

Cons

For this position, your employment only goes as far as billable hours go. If they are running low on projects, they will give you a 2 weeks notice to look for a project within the company and HR claims they will help you, but in my experience they did not.
