Pros
Opportunity to meet new people and work alongside a range of people. Great salary, with chance of overtime, and time and a half on sundays. Able to reduce hours at difficult times relating to school examinations and pick up extra hours when free. Good training initially when starting out.
Cons
Training not updated - health and safety and such. Often moved around departments due to staff shortages / illness without prior training. Very rarely finished on time, or within half an hour of set finishing time due to poor management of staff. Never received praise from higher management on doing jobs well, only ever saw management when dealing with bad situations / circumstances. Manager unhappy when staff showing initiative to become till trained to help with staff shortages - meant that our department became short on staff - higher managements issue not ours!
