When The Amistad Met The Titanic - Account Manager Monster Worldwide Employee Review

Pros

Simply put, there are none. The benefits package would have been the answer at one time but the out of pocket cost to employees has increased at least 74% during the past two years and the coverage has declined. Decline is what this company does best. How else do you think Randstad bought them at a bargain basement price?

Cons

The management team from the top down is incompetent. There actually are no managers in the local office other that the director. Everyone else is a hall monitor who had a good quarter of selling and attended the right church. The cult mentality is alive and well in this local office. It’s difficult to imagine how someone could assemble a more incapable group of people to put in charge of their business. These people quite literally spend their days monitoring the activities of their team members, and handing out deals from the “open territories” to their friends and relatives. Did I forget to mention this is THE place to get that stupid brother-in-law or that lazy kid of yours a job so you don’t have to support them? Well, that’s what happens here. There is such an incestuous blend of favoritism and oppression of others in this place that on most days, it seems like a bad reality series. Forget Keeping Up with the Kardashians. This is more like Eradicating the Educated or Punishing the Proficient. If you’re remotely adept at anything other than smoking menthols and eating pork rinds, you’re seen as a threat and you will not advance. Period. That became painfully clear this last week when they cut their staff and I watched numerous people who had served the company well for years escorted to the door. Now let’s talk about the lying recruiter who calls you and promises you earnings of $75K or better. This dude has lied to so many people that I can only imagine that he has lost all touch with reality or he has completely cashed in his soul along with a couple of chromosomes. If you ever get a call from him, assume that everything he says after “hello” is a lie. Here’s a clue: you routinely get your sales quotas about two months into the quarter. It’s sort of a “Congratulations! You’re not getting paid!” moment.
