RIP - Software Engineer Moka5 Employee Review

I performed various types of testing. I tested functional and non-functional areas. I have been participated in the several walkthrough meetings for requirement reviews and provided valuable feedback to the Business Analysts.

Small team but very friendly. I didn't saw big problems or cons. All what I can say i positive. It was good time.

The product itself is a bold divergence from conventional approaches in the enterprise. Salary and benefits are ok. Hours are flexible, and people are generally affable, usually pleasant to work with, and some of the engineers are bright and stimulating to talk with.

The product is a bold approach, but not very exciting. All but one of the founders, and all of the first and second wave of engineers moved on years ago, leaving the product in a barely maintainable state. The few who remain, and the third wave of recruits, are mostly B and C players attempting to turn around 7 years of poor design and poorer implementation. Every day brings another three-alarm fire where some crucial account is having an issue with basic functionality of the product.
