At the outset I will like to guide you that a PIP in itself is an indication that you need to improve on certain parameters which are much below the relative average of the company. You don't need a warning to receive a PIP as in industry terms, PIP in itself is a warning. We prefer to give multiple opportunities even to low performing employees so that they work hard and grow thus we are never harsh even in our PIP emails. This must have made you felt that it isn't a warning and you didn't take it as seriously as you should have.
Past 1-1.5 years we have majorly worked from home and I know that it is challenging. Not just us however companies across the globe are now talking about stress and anxiety caused by work from home. Thus time management is something which an individual should learn and balance. We encourage people to take care of their health, spend quality time with their families and work hard to make them proud too.
