Pros

* Most of the core teams are run by exceptionally experienced colleagues. * Nice office, new top-of-the-line hardware, non-restrictive IT. * New, interesting tech to work on. A lot of long-term projects that are finally paying off (being released to the public). * Remote-first policy. * For many teams, a hands-off approach to management and choice of tech - choose your own tech stack, as long as you can maintain it. * No signs of layoffs (only a bit of cost cutting like reducing cloud VM usage). * Training and conference budget, crafting days,

Cons

* New products and features rolled out at a rapid pace, while the same people need to support existing products (focusing can be sometimes challenging). * Timezone differences make it difficult to plan some meetings or make decisions. * Hiring freeze happened in the middle of a major growth phase - lots of commitments and projects that have to be built by a smaller team than originally planned. * Coordinating projects across teams is often challenging (point-to-point communication means a lot of context can be lost). * The atmosphere before COVID and rapid growth used to be more fun and relaxing (more multitasking and pressure to deliver on time). * Some components and processes are not well documented (can be a challenge for new joiners), need to ask around.
