Pros

9-5 culture means work life balance can be good. Benefits are better than most companies. Company mantra of looking after workers means treatment of employees is generally good. Nice greenspace and ornamental pool outside the cafeteria. Easy to drive to.

Cons

Committee-based corporate culture is very bad at effective decision-making. 9-5 culture means more emphasis on being seen to do work than actually achieving anything. HQ building is depressingly in need of renovation and on-site facilities are quite antiquated. HQ is isolated - need to drive if you want to eat anywhere other than the cafeteria, which has very average food.

Pros

Department is great! Hours are flexible with respect to workload. Career growth at the company is outstanding as long as you show dedication and commitment to the role.

Cons

"Full time" hourly employees face cuts during off seasons which makes the job posting information about full time hours unclear and is only addressed after the hiring process concludes during orientation and is not highlighted and often quickly discussed to stream light on the perks that do not calculate the negative impact on the factors left out after the fact.
