Pros
Good compensation, expenses for gas, parking, tolls and other fees, very flexible schedule. You learn a lot from this position and it sets you up to be a better professional how to carry yourself and apply yourself in certain situations. Many of the reps in the retail phone stores very friendly and you can almost lose track of time speaking to them while conducting your visit.
Cons
The only major con is job security. I witnessed it first hand when I was hired then went to the company's corporate building in Utah for a weeks worth of training. That same week we got back and were beginning to do our visits we had a conference call telling us our client will be going a different direction. Naturally this is the way of business but it just felt like a waste of an entire week being away from your family and friends during the holiday season.
