With the integration of Level3, CenturyLink is now a truly global provider of network services. Solid technical expertise and working hard to get the assets, tools, systems, and processes aligned. Great people to work with! Great work/life balance, and benefits on par with most global enterprise companies.
Cons
Lots of change happening, as with all mergers/acquisitions, but this one seems particularly challenging. Both companies still have incomplete previous acquisition activities and thus they continue to struggle with integrating. Compensation is a very real struggle in this company, let alone the telecom industry. A lot of highly skilled people have left this company due to below market compensation, and it seems like there are always issues with correctly paying the employees. The review/correction process seems to take forever, and the employee has a very limited time to identify and request a correction while the company has unlimited time to go pull back compensation as it deems fit.
