Pros

If you get the right sup, and the right team, the environment is doable. You are provided VIP (an additional check, that pays according to how the business did last year. COE offers the best of the best to not only be recognized by the company, but a few people from every department of every center is provided with an all expense paid trip. (The location is different every time)

Cons

I was not provided the truth about the pay when I was offered the job. There is no real work life balance. At some point you just call of and take the point because you need a mental day. There are people in leadership roles that do not deserve the roles (not because I am "hating on them", but because they are legitimately not suited for the job. You are provided numbers and a metrics you must meet (standard, no surprises there); however when you see someone skimming the system to cheat and make their numbers look good. Only for them to get a promotion or the COE award; it makes you want to throw up, or become a poor person, so you too can get raises and awards. If you can somehow get into claims, it is much better than customer service. Both have call centers, and both will be looking to expand, most of the negative I have posted came from customer service. My issue with claims is how disconnected everyone is, it is so quite and no one in management seems as helpful as they show themselves to be when someone higher than them is around.

Pros

Work from home, only in office twice a month

Cons

-Extremely high paced -Too many claims. Caseload is way too big. -Super stressful having to deal with customers. A lot of them don’t understand insurance or what their policy covers so you will constantly deal with pissed off uninformed insureds -metrics are unrealistic and unattainable. You need to have a 98% answer rate but at the same time you have a million cases and people calling you constantly so this is impossible to achieve. On top of that you have to actually document and determine liability. -Awful work life balance
