Pros
Working Lanterra accounting department is both challenging and rewarding. The pace is fast, and expectations are high, which can feel demanding at times. However, one of the biggest advantages of working here is the opportunity for growth. CFO encourages learning, supports skill development, and provides exposure to a variety of projects. If you take initiative, there are plenty of chances to advance and expand your role. Being able to engage with the planning, construction and financing stages has given me a depth of experience that I have been able to build my career on. Regular hours are generally maintained. However, there are periods—especially during busy seasons when overtime is required. While this can occasionally impact work-life balance, it is typically situational rather than constant. The department has a flexible approach to vacation requests. Time off is generally approved without issue, as long as proper planning is in place and responsibilities are covered. Employees are expected to coordinate with their team and ensure there is adequate backup to maintain workflow during their absence. The company also offers an on-site gym and occasionally hosts company-wide food catering events. These gatherings are a nice touch, giving employees a chance to enjoy good food while connecting with colleagues across different teams in a more relaxed setting. Overall, this is a great place for individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments and are looking to accelerate their career development. It may not be the easiest workplace, but it is certainly one where hard work pays off and growth is achievable.
Cons
Deadlines can shift frequently due to changing priorities, which may impact workflow and planning. However, with effective time management and maintaining an organized, up-to-date to-do list, these changes can be handled successfully.
Pros
I’m pleased to share my experience working with the organization almost 2 years The workplace culture is collaborative and welcoming. New team members are integrated smoothly, and there’s a strong sense of support where colleagues are always willing to help and guide each other. It makes it easier to settle in and contribute from early on. One of the biggest strengths is the leadership. The team is led by approachable and experienced leaders who stay involved, provide clear direction, and keep everyone aligned. The CFO, in particular, brings an immense breadth of experience that goes far beyond simple accounting; she has a broad, strategic perspective. In every discussion, she provides clear guidance, keeps the team on track, and uplifts the team with her focus and support. Communication is open, and ideas are genuinely heard and considered. There’s also consistent mentorship and guidance, which helps with both professional development and handling day to day challenges. There’s good transparency in how work is managed. Expectations around deadlines are clearly communicated, and when extra effort is needed, it’s usually discussed in advance so things can be planned properly. Overall, it’s been a positive experience. The team is engaged, and it’s a good environment for people who are willing to learn, stay focused, and grow.
Cons
Work can become fast-paced at times, especially during peak periods, which may require flexibility and strong prioritization skills.
