Pros
Nothing as such. Might get a chance to learn the best practices of engineering while being a data analyst but nothing more than that.
Cons
The team structure seemed primarily focused on creating dashboards and reports intended for use by other departments, such as Growth, Finance, and Operations, rather than for the data analysts themselves. Interestingly, while these teams were designed to support other functions, the data analysts within them often had limited knowledge of the broader business context. The team environment felt somewhat isolated, with most interactions occurring internally rather than cross-functionally. Furthermore, a notable concern was the skill gaps among some of the managers. Several lacked proficiency in essential technical skills like SQL or Python, and in some cases, even basic Excel skills were missing. This disconnect between the technical requirements of the role and the actual capabilities of some leadership members created challenges in the team's overall effectiveness.
