Pros
- Friendly working environment
- No issues interacting with colleagues company wide.
- Directors are always ready to listen. Whether is it related to work or sometimes related to personal issues.
- Great platform available to learn and develop new skillsets. As long as you are up and ready for the challenge.
- Able to voice out opinions freely. Do take note that opinions/suggestions should also be backed with reasoning.
Cons
- Actually there's no good food in the building! It sucks that we have to travel outside (even tho not too far away) during lunch as the options in the office building is very limited. Thanks to GrabFood, things have changed a little.
- Have to struggle between work life balance. (Especially from sales and op team). As it's still a requirement to speak to clients during weekends especially if there are major issues.
- Communication across departments aren't as effective. Tho things are changing, but requires commitment from all parties.
- Lack of emphasis on work tools (eg laptops). Used to be worse but things are getting better.
- Managers are untrained and inexperienced. I believe the HR is arranging for this to be improved in the coming months.
- Directors are good storytellers which enables them to present the idea well. However, it's often times being misunderstood as a change in direction or fickle minded. As an employee, you should always process the thought further by studying and evaluating the idea more thoroughly then report back to the directors. (Not really a Cons but acts as an advice to others)
