Well i could sit here and write the next best selling novel.
I don't need to though, i think the rest of the reviews sum it all up quite accurately. Its true there are some (albeit minor) positives but ultimately the rest is rather shocking to be honest.
I worked for a brand that was acquired by IRIS a few years back, the brand itself was doing rather well until IRIS came in and basically just ruined, no, completely obliterated is actually more of an accurate summary.
This down to the tunnel vision of management, one size does certainly not fit all. Unfortunately the impact of those poor visions has lead to significant departures of long serving members, so knowledge and skills have been lost and replaced with, well minions and yes people who have zero knowledge on what they are supposedly managing.
There have also been recent redundancies which is leaving a sour taste in everyone's mouths. Cost saving activities, culling, call it what you like, we know IRIS are not exactly doing much for their employees and only just meeting the basic legal requirements. For a company that likes to boast how well they have done in the past this really does not reflect in how they treat their employees by then making them redundant.
Bullying culture, where do i start. There is an abuse of power in some cases and having been a victim of bullying here, HR will do nothing about it especially if it is your manager who is the bully. I have also seen and heard first hand how some management speak to their staff, its embarrassing and the attitude does not belong.
As bad as it sounds what is the point of reporting it when it is very clear that nothing will be done about it.
Good luck getting a salary increase, if you sit within a function that has different types of roles in you wont get anything. My salary does not reflect the work i have put in over the last few years but even at Year in Review i was made to feel like an inconvenience and not worth my managers time. Also when looking at market rates i am significantly under what i should be on for the role i serve.
Career opportunities - forget that, unless you are on what they call a high potential program. You will not get the training you need or ask for, full stop so don't waste your breath.
I believe you should always try and take a negative and make it into a positive but in this case IRIS are so disappointing and have literally ruined what was a lovely working environment, with great colleagues, good working culture and fun, to somewhere im just not proud to work for or openly advertise i work for this company. You have failed me and so many other colleagues!
