Autonomy in the field. Flexibility in scheduling. Flexibility with work commitments vs home life. Great leadership, and true team focus.
Good pay.
Cons
Lots of road time (inherent with field service). Minimal formal training- Lots of opportunities to “figure it out” (can be a benefit if you have the right mindset). Not much for upward mobility as a Field Service Tech.
Upper management has no time for you. There was no training or direction from management and they have no problem yelling at you for asking for help. While the pay was good and it was an opportunity to learn new things, the stress of working with upper management makes it unbearable.
