Pros
- Good to pick up some skills to get another job where you are actually valued as a productive employee. - Great work/life balance. - Remote work in a lot of teams. Some employees are 100% remote. You can easily work <7 hours a day and get away with it.
Cons
- Lot of wasted time and efforts. Projects are quickly approved with vague promises of future revenue... When they don't seem to deliver, they get quickly scrapped. - Even inside a project, priorities are never agreed on and change constantly. Requirements come from a high level above you with no visibility who made what decisions. - Small teams act isolated from each other. Inter-team projects are catastrophic because nobody is used to cooperate with other teams. No sense of "we're in this boat together" - 90% Contractors in almost all the teams. Some are great, some do the bare minimum to not lose their jobs. Very easy to do and get comfortable, that's why contractors hang around for years. - No initiative due to very little bonus - A lot of Politics, friendship culture, gossiping and keeping employees in the dark
