Pros

Build your own schedule and the ability to work from home.

Cons

Blocking available hours when you were initially told that you can build your hours around your life (yeah right), tech issues, trying to get time off, unrealistic sales goals, putting in place systems/metrics that are next to impossible to meet especially since the types of calls that reservation specialist take have changed, horrible communication, nothing is consistent and pay is horrible starting at $9.00 and hour you are over worked and UNDERPAID the pay rate went up only after employees continued to complain. There is something they call "customer face time" that is affected by any and everything that takes you away from the phone whether the issue is tech related on your end or Hilton. I lost power due to a hurricane and could not work and my CFT was affected and I was written up for it. If you work for a company and the employees are actually providing WAH leads for other companies and you work from home and still dread to get up and log on to work something is definitely wrong.

Pros

Different services and softwares provided by Hilton are convenient to have access to.

Cons

The new PMS system, PEP, is awful. They got rid of F&B Distribution for night audit which means a lot less work for night auditors and way more work for accountants. PEP also doesn’t have the same functionalities as OnQ, the previous PMS. I have not heard any good thing about PEP after all these years. The team member travel discounts aren’t good anymore. They used to be flat rates across three tiers of hotels, but now they are extremely variable and can run very high. On top of that, hotels and resorts still charge team members for parking and service fees, so you still can’t afford to travel on the discount. That is, if you even find the team member rate available. Chances are, you’ll be working for a franchisee, not Hilton itself. They may be one of the world’s best companies to work for, but you probably won’t actually be working for them. California taxes and district fees felt mishandled by corporate.
