Pros

Lunch and tea breaks, Good friendly staff.

Cons

Really bad work and home life balance, they do NOT appreciate the effort you put into your work, just expect you to work like a robot, big divide between floor managers and visual merchandisers even though they are meant to be on the same level managementwise. Floor managers are aloud to sit in their office and do nothing while visual merchandisers cant even go into theirs to even do minor tasks without being told to get back on the shop floor. Visual Merchandisers are expected to now be in every other weekend to do a floor managers job with no pay rise and have no opinion. Progression is non existant unless you have a certain type of personality (even if it means being fake) and are friends with the right people in the right places. If you are not the type of person to be fake then you will keep getting false promises about opportunities that never lead anywhere. Overall I think H&M is a draining, demoralising, demotivating and horrible company to work for they only care about money, management dont have a clue what they are doing they have poor planning and communication skills and only seem to rush around and do things when we get store visits to pretend as if everything is perfect. Chances of getting any kind of bonus is always slim to nothing because the targets are unrealistic.

Pros

Benefits even for part-timers is a huge win! Sick leave, vacation, and community days. Nice management and really friendly coworkers. Decent employee discount. Diverse and welcoming environment.

Cons

Very stressful work environment considering the low pay. Poorly managed and operated. They clearly try to run lean and do as much work with as few people as possible. Very unprofessional overall and a lot of greenwashing.
