Pros

I was able to work flexible hours and pay was decent $13/hour plus tips as a PT employee

Cons

If you are a PT employee and don’t work weekends, they don’t guarantee any hours, so one week you can get 24h, another more if it’s really busy and they need you, and yet when it gets slow or they keep hiring more people they can give you as little as 5hours. There is no loyalty to hairstylists with experience that have great numbers and you will get punished just because you don’t work weekends even though that’s how you were hired, to give those full time employees their days off during the week. They only use you when they need you and other than that you’re supposed to wait until it’s busy season again to get more hours. Pretty disappointing…

Pros

Flexible schedules, 401k, health, & dental benefits, bonuses (based on salon performance, base wage with poetional to hit commission on service & product sales, fun friendly & welcoming environment for employees/customers, continuing education for growth in the industry, professional career growth with Great Clips (depending upon your franchise)

Cons

Haircutting exclusive so if you enjoy other services in the industry (chemicals, waxing, updo styling) this is not the place Franchised salons, so salons are ran differently.

Horrible coworkers. Horrible management. Horrible franchise owners.
