Pros

- Worked with a direct team who were great, opportunity to work with people from around the world - Great work-life balance - Excellent first exposure to the kind of work I want to do having become stagnant in an ETL role previously

Cons

- The role would be much easier with direct client contact, rather than the current gatekeeping by project managers who insist on being the middle man. Towards the end we were treated as a service internally instead of having our skills recognised and valued - Changes to workflow are imposed top down from people who are too far removed from the day-to-day, and often actually have negative impact on delivery time and cost - Salaries are low. The rise I was offered to move externally was twice what I was in line for with a promotion. They were also far to slow to react and give any sort of pay rise to account for the massive inflation seen in most of the world in 2022 - My direct manager was out of his depth. This meant those above him took advantage of him/our team to push through half-baked ideas without resistance, and internal stakeholders began to not trust the team and assume we all had the same weaknesses. It's also frustrating to know you're 2+ years away from getting promoted into a role where you know you could already do better than the incumbent

Pros

Amazing people - lots of reviews say that because it's true. You'll work with smart, genuine, hard working humans. Good benefits and perks. Interesting events and opportunities to learn. Overall, a good place to start your career!

Cons

Very fast-paced environment which definitely isn't for everyone. Lots of necessary change.

Pros

Good colleagues, arguably a good job post college (for like a year MAX)

Cons

I cannot stress enough how terrible this company is. Spent 5 years there, and watched it go further downhill every year. You leave with only soft skills (if that), and 0 actual industry knowledge. Seriously, you leave only knowing a bunch of Hocus Pocus. I am really surprised this company hasn't been bought yet. Or merged. On my team alone, we lost 7 out of our 9 managers since January... either due to layoffs or them quitting. Pay is low. There are no bonuses and it's very difficult to get a raise. 90k in NYC is poverty. There are bright people that come in with Masters, and PhDs, and MBAs -- handing them 90k is insulting.
