Pros

Good central location Decent pay since the job itself is a joke

Cons

I strongly advise anyone considering a job here to RUN. The job description for an associate is a complete and total lie. You are employed to be a recruiter, that is all. Your sole focus all day long is to sit on Linkedin and reach out to potential experts and recruit them to the GLG network. You have NO contact with clients, you are not allowed to speak to or engage with clients in any way contrary to the job description. It is ridiculous seeing as they insist on exploiting highly skilled and intelligent people with great academic backgrounds, yet they can't be trusted with "precious clients" who see GLG as a basic service that merely helps them to do their job and not a priority in any way, shape or form. You aren't allowed to attend roundtables at all contrary to the job description You have no direct involvement with any of the various "products" that GLG offers contrary to the job description The job that associates are doing used to be done by INTERNS in the early days of GLG to assist research managers in their work. They seem to have changed the structure internally to create an illusion of career progression but there is none, just pointless and misleading job titles and favouritism.

Pros

Amazing people - lots of reviews say that because it's true. You'll work with smart, genuine, hard working humans. Good benefits and perks. Interesting events and opportunities to learn. Overall, a good place to start your career!

Cons

Very fast-paced environment which definitely isn't for everyone. Lots of necessary change.

Pros

People at the peer level are great and you learn about some interesting industries

Cons

This is the worst place I have ever worked. Management does not care about you. They put on a front, but push and push and ask for more no matter how hard you work. You can be a top performer, but if you leave on time to go home they're not happy. It's never enough and the work never ends. It's just not worth it.
