Where do I even start?? To be clear, this is about GE Digital and not the overall GE. But seriously, this is a great vision screwed up with poor execution. But the main reason I wouldn't advise anyone to join GE Digital is that the folks who screwed up execution are still in the same position, continue making the same poor decisions but get rewarded with promotions or not getting "RIFed".
I have a neutral opinion of John Flannery as such but I fail to understand why he hasn't canned Bill Ruh as yet. My only guess would be that he is too busy trying to save the big mother ship and doesn't have any other option but to stick with Bill Ruh because he can't reveal the true strategy in an interview to any new CEO candidate!
