Pros

Non-management staff are generally hardworking, supportive, and pleasant to work with, despite the challenging workplace environment.

Cons

Freedom Furniture has significant issues with staff retention and workplace stability. The business is a revolving door of leaving staff members tired of the conditions. If you stay you’ll have two options, be made redundant or take on the extra responsibilities of the people who have been made redundant with no increase in pay. This has created an uncertain environment and led to consistently high turnover across teams. The pay does not reflect the huge workload or unrealistic expectations placed on staff. For the amount of pressure, accountability, and extra duties involved, remuneration is well below what would be considered competitive. The overall culture feels unstable, with limited support for employees and little recognition for the amount of work required to keep operations running smoothly. While the company promotes growth opportunities, in practice it often translates to taking on additional responsibilities without meaningful compensation or long-term security.
