Pros
Talented staff/co-workers. Hard-working teams. Big organization, so room to advance, though it may take a while. You get a lot of support from the people on your team. Good benefits (affordable health insurance, 401(k), profit sharing, etc.) Also generous time off; I get 5 weeks vacation after 10 years, plus sick days.
Cons
Management plays favorites. Raises not distributed fairly. I got a promotion last year with no pay increase because money was reallocated to "inner circle" darlings. A senior manager actually said my position was a support role and not as important as content creators, despite the fact that the content is greatly improved (not to mention legally and stylistically compliant) after my contribution. The company's restrictive budget also doesn't allow for teams to hire new staff even when workload significantly increases. As a result, I often feel overworked and underappreciated.
