Pros
Empowering work/business model. Good people. Potential for excellent compensation, if you can perform to very, very high expectations. Good opportunity for mentorship by experienced, successful brokers.
Cons
Cold-calling is not fun. Difficult to get into markets not already saturated by other Edward Jones brokers. There is some bad-mouthing of other brokers, but that will be the case in any hyper-competitive, commission-driven environment.
